MYO Cigarette like a Marlboro

 Marlboro cigarette recipes

For everyone out there who used to smoke Marlboro Lights(and by my reckoning that is A LOT of people) here is what you've been looking for-the same smooth flavor and medium strength throat hit of smoke for one fifth the cost.  For the patrons of the other many varieties of Marlboro, there is something here for you too.  Many smokers who were very loyal to them quickly found that the same quality and flavor could be achieved with an inexpensive brand of pipe tobacco and cigarette tubes.  If you can't find your recipe here, such as the Marlboro 72mm cigarette varieties, try the marlboro light recipe and go from there.  Also, many cigarette injectors have the ability to make a 100mm cigarette as well as a king size.  A noteworthy piece of advice: Even though all recipes can be used with 100's, the machines work best when the 100's setting is used with king size cigarette tubes.  Also, the 100mm tubes are a little weaker than shorts, bend easier,  don't fill all the way, and usually aren't as strong.  If you prefer an ultra-light cigarette, however, perfecting the art of stuffing them will yield the lightest strength of homemade cigarette I know of.  As always, feel free to leave suggestions for recipes and new blends you discover while making your own cigarettes.

The below products are used in my recipes and will be referenced by flavor, not brand.  The Golden Harvest and Four Acres blends will be noted as mild, mellow, robust etc.  Other flavors will be listed with the brand name if they share the same flavor as another brand.
Note that all these cigarette recipes use Premier Cigarette tubes.  Other tubes yield different flavors of cigarettes.  When tubes are referred to in the recipe, they will be listed as either full flavor, lights, menthol, and/or 100's.

     Marlboro Lights Recipes
                                   Marlboro Lights
To make a cigarette that tastes like a Marlboro light, try light cigarette tubes and Golden Harvest robust blend pipe tobacco.  For Marlboro Reds, switch to full flavor tubes.
Other similar combinations include light tubes with mild tobacco, or light tubes with robust and natural mixed together.

Gambler, Bugler, American Spirit, and Topps tobacco are also very similar to Marlboro's when used with light tubes, but they cost more and likely contain additives

    Marlboro Medium Recipes
    Marlboro Menthol Recipes

To make a cigarette that tastes like a Marlboro   medium, try full flavor tubes and a blend of robust and natural tobacco(Golden Harvest).

You can also try light tubes with Gambler, Bugler, or American Spirit to get a Marlboro medium like flavor.

To make a cigarette that tastes like a Marlboro menthol, try full flavor tubes and a blend of Four acres menthol and Golden Harvest robust.

Gambler, Bugler, or American Spirit have menthol varities that also taste similar to a Marlboro menthol.

    Marlboro Blend No. 27 Recipes

To make a cigarette that tastes like a Marlboro 27,
try full flavor tubes and Golden Harvest robust.

This combo is extremely close to impossible to tell
which kind of tobacco you are smoking.

    Marlboro Menthol Lights Recipes

To make a cigarette that tastes like a Marlboro menthol light, try menthol tubes with a blend of menthol tobacco and mild tobacco.

Don't Forget: menthol tubes lose some of their flavor after opening in a week or so.  If the recipe is too strong with any menthol, try leaving your tubes open for a couple days to mellow them out.

    Marlboro Ultra Light Recipes

To make a cigarette that tastes like a Marlboro ultra light, try light tubes and mellow tobacco.  If this is still too strong, try using 100mm tubes and stuff them full.  This combo is as light as I've ever made a cigarette.
